Zapier Agents

Create AI teammates that do work across 9,000+ apps — on command and while you sleep.

What it is

Zapier Agents is a no-code product for building AI "teammates" that connect to a user's knowledge and act across Zapier's connected apps, on-demand via chat or autonomously via scheduled behaviors. It is an add-on within the broader Zapier platform, billed separately from core "tasks."

Pricing
Metered by "activities" (a trigger, knowledge answer, action run, web browse/scrape, or web search each count as 1 activity). Free includes 400 activities/mo; Pro includes 1,500/mo; Enterprise is custom. Agents do not consume the core Zapier task quota. Exact paid-tier dollar figures for Agents were not available at access time (the pricing URL returned 404).source ↗
Hosting model
Fully-managed cloud SaaS (no self-host); agents run in-platform, in the background, and via a Chrome extension.source ↗

Strengths

  • Very broad connectivity — 9,000+ apps and 30,000+ actions via MCP.
  • Agents grounded in user-provided knowledge sources.
  • Free tier (400 activities/mo), separate from the core Zapier task quota.

Trade-offs

  • Activity-metered billing (many operation types each consume quota) is harder to predict.
  • Fully-managed and proprietary, with no self-host.
  • The product page doesn't disclose the underlying LLM provider or exact paid Agents pricing.

Our take

Editorial opinion — not a hands-on test result

In our opinion, Zapier Agents is a natural fit for teams already invested in Zapier who want agents that act across a very large app surface with minimal setup. The watch-items are the activity-based metering, the undisclosed model provider, and the lack of self-host. Its breadth of connectivity and native MCP are the standout strengths.
